Community Guidelines
Sure Applications (Pty) Ltd
SÜRE is a marketplace where real people meet, work and trade. Sometimes that means a stranger comes to your home, or you go to theirs. These guidelines exist so that everyone on SÜRE is safe, and is treated with respect.
What we expect
- Treat every person on SÜRE with courtesy, whether they are a customer, a provider, a courier or a store owner.
- Be honest. Describe your services and products accurately. Do not misrepresent who you are.
- Keep your commitments. If you accept a job, do the job. If you cannot, cancel early.
- Write reviews that are truthful and about the actual service or product.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, threats, intimidation or bullying.
- Hate speech, or content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination.
- Sexually explicit or sexually exploitative content.
- Violence, cruelty, or content promoting self-harm.
- Fraud, scams, or impersonating another person.
- Sharing someone else's private information without their consent.
- Fake reviews, or attempts to manipulate ratings.
- Offering or requesting anything that is illegal in South Africa.
- Taking payment outside the SÜRE app in order to avoid fees.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. You can report any review, message, listing or profile from within the app, or email support@suretechapp.com.
Blocking
You can block any user. A blocked user will not be matched with you and will not be able to contact you.
What happens when you report
Every report is reviewed by our team. Where we find a breach, we remove the content and suspend or ban the account within 24 hours. Serious matters are reported to the South African Police Service.
Staying safe when meeting in person
- Keep your conversation inside the SÜRE app. It gives us a record if something goes wrong.
- Check the verification badge and the reviews before you accept a booking.
- Use live tracking, and share it with someone you trust.
- Meet in a safe, well-lit place where you can.
- Trust your instincts. You can cancel a booking. You will never be penalised for cancelling because you felt unsafe.
